​Below is an extract of our Data Dictionary. It contains descriptive information about the data we include in our dataset. We are aware that the dataset is incomplete and should be considered a work in progress.  It is not a complete or rigorous collection of all events.  Work is ongoing and will continue to make it more comprehensive. Since there are no agreed upon qualifications for a mass shooting, we consider events where 3 or more people were injured or killed during a shooting.
